Day one, chateau living at a distance

The fantastic news is that even though I am still here in Coventry, life in the chateau  in Mont St Martin is beginning well. Mr B has at last moved out of the (im)mobile home in the middle of a field in the north east of Luxembourg and is, as I write, happily becoming the bower bird that I have always known and loved.
For my part, I am still minding the house and trying to keep it tidy until we move out to the chateau in the New Year. Had we known in May when Mr B first took on the contract that we would have been living apart for for most of the year I would have a) not planted so much in the allotment; b) made sure the dog had a rabies jab; c) started organising renting out our UK home and d) lost 3 stone. Well, maybe not the last option.

Those of you who already know and love me are already aware of the details of our story and the stressful time we have had trying to get over to the 'bourg. I shall reveal more of the whole thing over time ...don 't want to bore you all immediately.

So this is my new hobby. I don't really know what chateau life will be like and  it is still a week before I get there. Will write soon,
love from  " La Foreigner"
